Andy Tillery, MBA®

Financial Planner

Andy enjoys helping people, whether it’s guiding them on their financial planning journey, or installing a new faucet in their kitchen. With a family of six he can easily relate to the challenges faced by busy families, and especially business owners, who are often doing their best just managing day to day tasks. It is this perspective that enables him to ask the right questions of his clients and subsequently develop a strategy designed to meet their specific goals. As a member of 2065 Wealth Management, Andy believes in a holistic approach to financial planning.

Born and raised in the Birmingham area, Andy attended UAB earning a BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering and followed that with a Master’s in Business Administration from Auburn University. He spent 5 years in electrical equipment sales and project management before working for a local electric utility for 12 years in operations and project development. It was while working at this utility that Andy built his financial analysis skillset and realized he could combine these skills with his passion for helping people, so he made the career switch to the financial services industry.

Andy is married with four children, 2 girls and girl/boy twins. His oldest daughter is a competitive swimmer, competing at local, state, and southeast championship levels. She is also a member of the middle school choir and volleyball team. His middle daughter is also a competitive swimmer, a runner and volleyball player, and is participating in choir at the intermediate school. And his son recently began playing baseball.

Andy is an advocate for water safety and the sport of swimming in Birmingham. He has been actively involved with local leagues and teams in Birmingham for the past 6 years. He is a certified USA Swimming official and is a board member for the Jefferson Shelby Swim Council (JSSC) summer league. He is also a board member for the Alabama Technology Foundation, promoting STEM based programs, students, and businesses in the state of Alabama. Andy also enjoys collegiate sports, weightlifting, auto restoration, and home improvement projects.
